Q: What is a Zip file?
A: A Zip file is one or more files packaged into one single file for ease of download and transport. Zip files are often compressed to save space and reduce download times.

Q: Why are my files in a Zip format?
A: When you purchase design sets from Roberta’s Creations, there's only one file to download per design set.

Q: How do I save the file?
A:  Click the Download button for the design you wish to download.

1. When you see a File Download screen like this, select "Save".
   

2. When you see a Save As screen like this, click on the drop-down box next to "Save in:" to choose a download location on your computer and click "Save". We recommend you write down this folder location and name so you can find them more easily on your computer later.
   

Your download is now delivered to your computer.

Q: How do I open my Zip file?
A: After downloading a zipped file, utility software is required to unzip (unpack) the file in order to extract the individual printable design files and project sheets. Utility software such as WinZip is commonly used and once installed, the zipped file will unzip automatically by double-clicking on the file icon.

Q: How do I install Winzip?
A: Winzip program download instructions

1. Go to the WinZip website and purchase the latest version of WinZip. Click on the download button and a download box will appear on your computer. Click "Save" to save the file to your computer.

3. WinZip will choose a default installation folder. Click "OK" to continue.

4. Following the instructions and click "Next" to continue.

5. Depending on your preference, WinZip offers different configuration options. We chose "WinZip Winzard" as an example.

6. WipZip will search for your favorite zip folders. Choose "Quick Search" for faster completion.

7. Follow the instructions to complete WinZip installation.

Unzip design files instructions

1. Go to the design files you have downloaded from Roberta's Creations and double click on the file name you wish to unzip.

2. WinZip should automatically recognize the zip format and opens up a window displaying all the files that are contained in the zip file. To unpack the design files, click on the "CheckOut" button.

3. WinZip will ask you for the location to unzip the files to. You can default it to the current location or choose a different location in your computer. Then click "OK" to complete the process.

4. You are now ready to work with the design files!
