Q: How will I receive my designs? A: There is now an auto-download feature which allows you to immediately receive your order as soon as it processes. With PayPal orders you MUST click the continue button for the download to appear on your screen. Q: I did not get my download. What do I do? A: Contact me at the e-mail address below and I will see to it that you get your order. Q: I don't see any instructions for sewing out. Can I get them? A: There are detailed instructions included with every set I offer. They are not written out in the software as I don't feel this allows enough detail--I like my customers to know exactly what is being sewn, how to for applique' work, and the color I used. These instructions can be opened in Microsoft Word, NotePad or WordPad and printed out for use. NotePad is included in all Windows applications. You can see pictures of applique's being sewn out on both the Dino Darlings and Gingerbread page. You may find these useful when doing applique work. Q: The colors look funny on my screen when I open the design. Why is that? A: Each software program is different and will sometimes assign default colors to a design which makes it look strange. It will disregard the assigned colors and, instead, put in the default colors. I have no control over that. Simply ignore your screen and follow the instructions included with the set. Remember that applique has placement lines and tack down lines as well as satin cover stitching. I assign different colors to these so your machine will stop between them. You need to use thread colors that compliment your fabrics and, again, ignore what is on your screen. Q: How long does it take to get my order? A: Orders generally process within seconds and the download will appear on the screen as soon as the approval is received from the processing company. Please contact me right away if there is a problem--don't wait. I want you to have your order right away. Here is my direct e-mail address. Q: What if I don't want to order on the internet? Can I order via snail mail? A: Yes. Right under the pay links is a link to click on for snail mail orders. Print out the form, fill it in and mail it to the address listed on the form. That's it! I e-mail the designs to you on receipt of your order. Q: Can I get a CD package send to me. A: Yes, however there is an extra charge of $7.00 for postage and handling. When you order, you may indicate you want the package shipped to you and the charge for this service is indicated at that time. Q: Can I call you? A: Yes. My phone number is 760-726-6869. I live in California, so please keep that in mind when calling from the East Coast. Q: Do you have a mailing list so I can get notification of new sets and specials? A: Yes. Click on the link below and join the Yahoo list. This is not a chat list--only notices of new sets and specials are issued. Q: I can't find any free samples on your website. Do you have any? A: Absolutely. Free samples are available for download and are located on various collection pages. These is not a sample in every collection, but I have provided a wide variety so you can see how my designs will work on your machine. They will always be located at the bottom of the collection page. Q: What formats are available? A: I offer my designs in only three formats, art, hus, and pes. This helps to keep my prices down and make them affordable for my customers. Q: I want to resize your designs. Can I do that? A: Generally, my designs will resize very well. Some, with great detail, will not sew out as well in a reduced size and I cannot guarantee how designs will sew out when they have been altered. Also, remember that satin cover stitching will change width size on applique's when changing the size of a design. Q: I would like to sell items with your designs on them. Can I do that? A: I have no objection to my designs being used on items for sale by the customer only. These are not stock designs and may not be run commercially or sold to retail stores. If in doubt, please contact me about usage. Q: I see your designs are copyrighted. Someone gave me some of your designs. Does copyright apply when I did not purchase the designs from you? A: Copyright means you cannot resell, share or give the designs to anyone else or use them for anything but personal use or gifts without my permission. It is not only illegal, it is not right, at any level, to do so. This business is our only income and, when my designs are shared or given to others, it literally takes food off the table. My prices are reasonable and, to date, I have not had anyone who could explain to me why I should not be paid for all the work I put into producing good quality designs. It is no different than your job. Please think before you share.
